We assume that we understand an iceberg based on the 10% that we can see…
and yet 90% of an iceberg is only visible below the surface of the water,
Life is very much the same
… as are people…
When meet each other in the street, we see only the fraction of that person that they choose to share publicly,
When we ask each other, ‘how are you doing?’ we hear only the part of the story that they choose to share…
For the most part, we hear only a fraction of any story others share with us, and it comes through their personal filter.
and it is an incredible gift when somebody trust us with their story as it really is…
in my work as a Craniosacral Therapist, and in my life, I am reminded time and again that things are not always as they appear,
and to not take everything at face value ~
and to assume that we are often seeing only a fraction of the story ~ Body ~ Mind & Soul…
And often times we simply do not know what others are holding in their hearts.
So let’s remember not only to be anchored in Compassion,
To broaden the Awareness of our hearts until it becomes boundless…
To meet our clients ~ and Life Itself with a receptive heart… and to allow out intuitive perception to inform the intellect of that which lies below the surface of the purely physical ~
But may we also increasingly strive to stay open, and aware, to withhold our judgments and our assumptions, and to remain curious, discerning and neutral.
We rarely see the whole story with each other, above all may we remember to be kind
